Position Overview & Responsibilities
The Waste Facility Maintenance Mechanic performs critical mechanical repairs, hydraulic system troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance across automated waste processing machinery. You inspect and repair industrial balers, conveyor belts, shredders, optical sorting drives, and pneumatic air sorters. Additionally, you perform welding, gear box overhauls, sensor alignment, and daily facility infrastructure checks to prevent unscheduled plant shutdowns. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence inside the recycling processing plant (zero remote options).
